Liesje Mentens (°1979) cuts and pastes words and images for books and magazines. She works as a graphic designer, always on the lookout for the most fitting fonts and perfect pictures. Her biggest passion is drawing, painting and collages are her signature style. Her work is published in Belgian magazines like Nest, Knack Weekend and Feeling.
Driven by a passion for painting and typography, in 2015 I launched Tallora, a collection of hand-painted Boch plates in blue and gold. Simple dinner plates are turned into wall art. Upcylcing is the future and a beautiful plate doesn’t need to be stored in the cupboard. Made out of love, not meant for lunch!
In the past 10 years I made more than 250 magazines. Now it’s time for new work. All these graphic things made me happy:
- SILKSCREEN PRINTS
- INTERIOR MAGAZINES
- CHILDREN’S BOOKS
- ARTISANS & ARTISAN’S BOOKS
- And good coffee.
